My wife works in downtown Denver, and we acquired a condominium near her office. On weekends when we can't get on a flight, there's always the Denver scene to visit. There are many hotels in the downtown Denver area (Booking Website:

There's plenty of fun things that you can do and see. The 16th Street Mall and LoDo (Lower Downtown) is a good starting point. You can find plenty of live music bars, dance clubs, wine bars, brew pubs, and comedy clubs. The opportunities for Happy Hour are many. Try the Ginn Mill (Website: http://theginnmill.com/ ) on Larimer and 20th to start your happy hour with $2.00 you call-its or beer. Free popcorn helps soak up the adult beverages. Nearby you can order a "Don't call me Whitey" pizza from Marquis Pizza (Website: http://marquispizza.com/ ) and bring it back to the Mill. Across the street from the Ginn Mill is Scruffy Murphy's Irish Pub with great live music (Website: http://www.scruffymurphysirishpub.com/ ) and the Zan-Z-Bar Billiards Bar and Grill (Website: http://www.denverbilliardsbar.com/ ) with numerous pool tables, which are free from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Kitch and fun, this place is designed within an inch of it’s life, but done perfectly so you feel like you are having an experience, rather than experiencing something at Disneyworld. Give it a try!
